I was told, when I started my animation degree, that I would probably drop out because girls couldn’t handle the environment. Because guys are fucking assholes.

When I asked why they don’t just stop being assholes then, I was laughed at and told to get back to work.

You see, this is the problem. Asking someone to take responsibility for their actions is usually met with a whiny “whyyyy” followed by “Just get a thicker skin” and “Oh no you can’t make a male character girls don’t know how guys work.”

Oh. Really. Tell that to the woman who wrote Anders, who knows how a character works. Tell that to female script writers, tell that to female novelists, tell that to mothers, tell that to girlfriends, tell that to whoever the fuck else you think needs to know because they will all slap you down so fucking hard your head spins around in circles and falls off. 

Guys will complain about there not being many women in the industry, but when a woman tries to break into the industry, they’ll say “Oh but you can’t do it because you’re a girl.” And they think that has no impact, like there’s going to be no harm coming from that? Just like there’s no harm in female representations in the media, just like there’s no harm in the stupidly common belief perpetuated by other women that if you have sex you’re automatically a slut, just like there’s no harm in the fucking stupid gender roles that relegate women to babymakers and nothing more, so if you’re a woman and can’t have a baby for whatever reason, you’re worthless. (or don’t have a uterus! Hello transwomen I love you too.)

I’m just sick and fucking tired of guys saying “oh but women can’t game/design games/design characters/write men/write believable stories/texture map/exist.”

Because that’s so much fucking bullshit it makes me want to punch the world in the massive dick on it’s incredibly large forehead. NO.
