Hey Look, There's Stuff. |
I post stuff related to my bazillion fandoms. Expect a lot of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Star Wars, Farscape, Firefly, X-Men, Avengers, comics in general, Fallout, Star Trek, Assassin's Creed, video games in general, Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, and so on. The list gets a bit long. Also, I talk about books a lot. Sometimes it gets political. |
So every once in a while I get serious pangs of guilt for not pairing Laica with Isabela. Because. Laica adores Isabela. And her sexual preferences are a hell of a lot more compatible with Bela and her lifestyle than they are with Sebastian’s.
But then I just can’t shake the feeling that Bela would have left her after she killed Anders. I just don’t see Bela getting over something like that.
I agree. At the end game Bela is the ONLY one who says things in support of Anders. Although I love Varric/Anders, I really think that the chantry explosion soured that relationship a bit, whereas Bela is totally “Yeah, mate, you did what you had to, I respect that.”
That makes a ton of sense. Varric/Anders are my BroTP, and I don’t think that goes away after endgame, but it must take a hit, because the other, equally important BroTP in this equation is Varric/Kirkwall. Kirkwall is his home, he knows every inch of it, everyone in it, it’s arranged exactly to his satisfaction, it’s where he belongs, where his friends are and where he’s happy. And now it’s irreparably damaged, scattered to the wind. It can be rebuilt but it can never be as good as it was.
Actually I can see the Sebastian thing working. He’s willing to betray his vows, but only if the person he’s with is as...

THIS. Oh yes, this.
